RESTORATION CDC
MISSION & SERVICES.
The primary mission of Restoration Community Development Corporation will be to combat community deterioration and catalyze community revitalization utilizing a market-based community economic development model.
Together with volunteers, service providers from various government agencies, non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, and community stakeholders, our outreach efforts serve approximately 120 people on Wednesdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm pre-pandemic. Due to COVID-19 and the “Safer at Home” directive, Mt. Tabor Community Outreach Partnership has modified its program to provide essential services such as hygiene, nutrition, PPE’s and links to supportive services. Additionally, Restoration CDC collaborates with A Bridge to Home - JD’s Place, the first Bridge Home in South Los Angeles and is equipped with 100 beds.
Currently, over 50% of the residents at the JD’s Place are participants from our weekly outreach program at Mt. Tabor. On Friday, September 25, 2020, Restoration CDC and Black Ecumenical Congress on Homelessness (BECOH), a consortium that was spearheaded by RCDC, launched a pilot-program to provide programming that will include the following workshops: Art of Healing, Write for Your Life, In Search of Me and Healing Circle.
